Backlash is swift and hilarious after Tea Party congressman scolds Obama for ‘joking about race’

Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp (KS) involuntarily opened up a can of internet whoop-ass on himself when he complained on Twitter that Pres. Barack Obama is cracking jokes about his race during a racially tense time.

Obama quipped at a Thursday appearance that actor Morgan Freeman would have attended the event, but instead Freeman “undoubtedly is off playing a black president again. He never lets me have my moment.” Huelskamp took to social media to accuse the president of tastelessly joking about race while riots raged in Charlotte, NC.
