Scarborough is not so bad either.
Definitely not the worst.

(135,425 posts)He may not be the worst, but he's in the back of the line.
One can still feel sorry for him as a parent, but don't for a second think he's anything other than a noxious, rightwing asshole.

(15,330 posts)but who doubts for a second that if this were Chelsea Clinton or one of the Obama children, Morning HO wouldn't spend 15-30 minutes speculating on whether or not they had been pushed down the stairs?
I'm sorry, but that is the sad state of our "news" media these days.

WHAT are you talking about???? I watched the show...when did they talk about him possiblt being pushed?
Fla Dem
(23,674 posts)The poster did not say that anyone on the show said the child was pushed. They just postulated that given the conspiracy theories that are floated all the time against the Clinton's/Obama's, that it would not be beyond the realm of possibility that something like that would be suggested if it was someone in the their families.

(2,542 posts)Scarborough famously made an ass out of himself by criticizing a captive soldier's father. Even his MSNBC colleagues called him out on it.

"So he's a bad father?" Todd challenged.
"Yes!" Scarborough said. "Yes he is! Oh my god, Chuck."

(870 posts)This post is unwarranted. A boy was hurt, his father is upset. End of Story. Best wishes to Master Scarborough (that's a proper English term, not a bond of slavery, btw).
PLEASE DO NOT POLITICIZE THIS!
MADem
(135,425 posts)The injured party is an ADULT male, not a young lad in British 'public' school, and we're Americans here.
When you call an adult male "Master" it suggests that you are enslaved.
We can hold more than one thought in our heads. We can hope for the speedy recovery of Mr. Scarborough's adult son while still acknowledging that Mr. Scarborough is a right wing asshole who most certainly WOULD "speculate" if the same dire thing happened to one of his political "enemies." He's done it before, after all.
One thing does not cancel out the other.

Joe Scarboroughs son hospitalized after bad fall
By Daniel Halper and Natalie Musumeci September 23, 2016 | 9:12am
The 25-year-old son of MSNBCs Joe Scarborough has been hospitalized with a traumatic head injury after taking a spill down a flight of stairs
Mika Brzezinski, Scarboroughs co-host on Morning Joe, confirmed the news about Scarboroughs son Andrew at the kick-off of the show at 6 a.m. Friday.
His son Andrew had a horrible accident. Head injury, fractured skull
He fell down a flight of stairs, said Brzezinski, adding that doctors stabilized Andrew who is recovering at Bellevue Hospital.
Its touch and go, but were stabilized, and, said Brzezinski, letting out a huge sigh. Its a long night. And prayers for them.

(58,785 posts)of stairs while carrying his 3-month-old son. He knew he couldn't recover, so he hunched his arms and body around the baby, twisting so he fell backwards. That's all he remembers. He was unconscious and the first several hours at the hospital were terrifying; but, hopefully like Joe's son, he had no permanent effects from his traumatic head and other injuries. Rugby player, strong muscles.
I hear you - with that precious cargo you cannot protect yourself from the fall in a normal fashion - very glad he recovered
