Most likely the gold.
Similarly, I absolutely knew that when Hillary Clinton faced off against Donald Trump, Hillary would have the floor with him. An intelligent, well prepared, well-poised and measured candidate with excellent experience against a rank amateur, an impulsive narcissistic buffoon with thin skin who when not placed in front of a teleprompter will just meander aimlessly without direction.
The end result was never in doubt for me. Not for a second.
Now, the only thing that worries me is that I felt the same way when Kerry faced off against Bush and absolutely dominated him. And I waited for the polls to reflect that. And I waited. And I waited. And the numbers didn't change. But then again, in 2004 much of the country was still traumatized by 9/11, so maybe debate performances weren't the first things in their mind.
But this--I knew this was going to happen. Without a question.

(46,179 posts)that she would win the debate handily. You are correct to be concerned, though. Trumps supporters are going to support him. They don't care that he's an unprincipled moron; many of them are the same. They just care that he feeds their personal bias, and they aren't going to see beyond that.
I never thought that debates between the two would change anybody's mind.

(45,003 posts)The next debate. Hillary will be even more prepared
and will have fine tuned her strategy. Trump will too,
to some extent but the pressure's on him. If he chokes
twice in a row, it's all over. Hillary still has a massive
amount of potent material to slice Trump to pieces.
I really appreciate her skills.
