Police Lives Matter Too supporters gather ahead of Sharpton event with Crutcher family

The community is continuing to rally in Tulsa a week and a half after Terence Crutcher was fatally shot by a Tulsa police officer on Sept. 16.

Law Enforcement and Supporters for Media Accountability has organized a rally from about 1-5 p.m. Tuesday in support of Officer Betty Shelby, who has been charged with first-degree manslaughter in the shooting of Crutcher.

One supporter carrying a Trump campaign sign with the words "I back the blue" penned at the bottom, said she came to the rally to support Shelby.

"A person went to work that morning, just planning to do her job that she's been doing for a long time to the best of her ability and all the sudden she's arrested for manslaughter for just doing her job," the woman said. "They're the ones trained in that situation, they're the ones that's living through it; whatever she did she thought she needed to do, and I don't think she should have been thrown in the frying pan over it until the investigation is complete."
