The 45.3lbs is a typo, decimal point is in the wrong place. I own an older version of the motorcycle which weighs around 450lbs as do most sportbikes. There was an accident here a while back where a speeding harley, probably around 700 pounds or more, broadsided a car killing driver. The motorcycle almost went through the car.

In this case, it would have to be a low speed collision, under 10mph, or else the rider would have been thrown off and motorcycle would be disabled. I can't see any reason for the cop to shoot the rider. Unless more details come out in the cops favor, he's probably going to prison.

I'll give cops the benefit of a doubt as most here know, but shooting at a bike after breaking department policy and an immediate order not to pursue?
