Trump at the debate, on many things he blatantly said.
Brutal new video watch:

(16,423 posts)They still live in a world of "he-said-she-said".
They still believe that saying "believe me" and being authoritarian is sufficient to settle an argument.
They haven't realized yet that debates no longer work that way: We live in the Internet-Age, where everything you have said is being recorded and uploaded.
Simple denial no longer cuts it.

(8,087 posts)when Bush said, about the war in Iraq, "I never said 'Stay the course'" and the Democratic Congressional Campaign or someone similar immediately put out a video with about twenty instances of Bush saying "Stay the course." I think that moment was pivotal in Democrats retaking the House and the Senate that year.
Right then I thought a) thank God for YouTube (where the video got a couple of million hits) and b) politics isn't going to be the same after this.
Richard Nixon was famous for campaigning around the country, saying one thing in California, and then something absolutely opposite in Florida or Mississippi.
Politicians can't get away with that shit anymore.

(3,283 posts)To compare someone like Trump saying that he never said the things he OBVIOUSLY SAID vs. people like Hillary and Obama saying that they've evolved on issues when they received new information.

(30,058 posts)Good ad, he has a history, he talks about Hillary not able to remember answers when she was testifying, Trump can not remember either. He will probably bring out Bill's infidelities and it will be bad for him, Hillary has an answer already and then he will spend the next days crying because Hillary attacked his infidelities.

Donald is pretty slow on the uptake is he doesn't realize that everything is captured "on tape" these days (even if it isn't really tape anymore).
