Isn't it time again, to talk about how much the Republican brand will be damaged

by the Trump candidacy?

I think its time.

I think its going to have a lasting impact.

I like to think that our young people will make future decisions based on this election.

Then we'll see how it all played out.

Right now we have to keep our base energized, get voters registered or re-registered if they've moved or haven't voted in the past several elections, and set to vote. That's the campaign's current focus.

And it's looking quite possible the GOP may actually hold on to the Senate regardless. So I'm not sure Trump's really hurting anything.

People have been talking about this doom of the GOP for decades. It's not happening. Although they are struggling to dominate in presidential elections, they've shown no weakness anywhere else. They hold more power in the state and local governments than any other time since WW2.

The youth? They hate both candidates. According to the New York Times, a 1/3rd of the youth are planning to vote 3rd party or not at all.

"collateral damage".

His 'trickle-down' policies on taxes, deregulation, immigration, unions and trade are eerily similar to those of Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover - not liberal at all compared to those of FDR. The republican party was dead for a generation after 1932.

remember when we thought W was such a disaster it would take them years to come back? It took until 4 days after the 2008 election day when they started plotting against Obama

Gerrymandering, Senate/House stalling and supreme court nonsense are their aims now.

State voter suppression.

Stirring up hatred in their diminishing base.

They are very determined.
