Two thirds into the debate and I know who is losing:

We are.

Elaine Quijano, who I admire, is not up to this.

Pence and Kane are pretty much both walking over her. No one is pushing follow up, instead letting them answer the question they want, not the question asked.

It was a train wreck. All talking-over. She had no control, didn't even listen to answers. UTUSN Oct 2016 #9

And Pence is walking much harder. He's got more commitment to his bullshit than Kaine appears to have to his argument.

The contestants will do whatever it takes (in their mind) to win. The moderator is there to . . . . MODERATE.

She gets their attention when she speaks over them. And volume has little to do with it. When she just keeps on talking so as to say what she wishes, both of them shut up. It has happened EVERY time in this debate when she did that.

I wonder if Pence, at least, is treating her like that because she's a woman? Lester wouldn't have ever let that happen, and I don't think they'd try.

. . . . speaking right over the contestants. When she does that they actually shut right up. It happened more than once. But not enough to show she was in control.
