He delves much deeper than the other hosts, and as a result, detects important nuances others don't see.

for Lawrence...I am beginning to think that of all the talking heads, he is the only one with a functioning brain.

It's about what happens the day after.

It takes an hour for the nitwits on television to stop and think about what was actually said during the debate.

Pence left a lot of tape of him refusing to defend trump or outright lying about what was said. I doubt many watched this debate so what most people will see are the cuts. I don't think Kaine left much for Trump to work with.

Discounting any other criteria, Kaine wins it. The impact of Trump's dismal first debate performance is not going away.

So many times I tell people whom I mentor: "pick your battles."

Sometimes you corner the other person and allow yourself to look as if you are losing. Meanwhile, you are playing a long game.

Kaine did that tonight, in my opinion: Pence would not defend Trump, or even lied outright about things Trump had/had not said.

It's trickle-down debate, if you will, and it was masterful - Pence will have to say he "misspoke" multiple times from now until November 8 when faced with facts.

My take: let the excitable watch the fight in the coliseum and declare a winner quickly; let the thoughtful understand that the outcome unfolds over time. As the media explores the facts, things will be more clear.

Kaine wins, for me.

He called it Norwood. If Kaine had made such big mistake the media would be relentless.on his error and lack of preparation.

Kaine did a great job, especially in causing Pence to stab Trump in the back by refusing to defend Trump. A bigeye personal insult.

Kaine could and did. He was aggressive and on the attack all evening, attacking Donald on point after point after point.

He accomplished exactly what he needed to put Pence on the defensive all evening.
