Christian Extremists Blame Gays For Hurricane Matthew

Christians panic, claim Hurricane Matthew is punishment from God for the sin of sodomy.

Andrew Bieszad, a contributor to Shoebat.com, a popular anti-gay, Christian extremist website, explains that God is sending the hurricane as “a sign of His anger” against America for tolerating homosexuality.

Bieszad notes:
The Bible clearly teaches that in the Old Testament whenever the Hebrews were very disobedient towards God, He would send punishments against them, many times in the forms of natural disasters. Christian history also recognizes the same, where God will use His creation to execute judgment against the wicked. While not all bad weather is necessarily a sign of sin, both sacred scripture and sacred tradition clearly note that it can be so. Now we know that Florida is an area that is infected with sin, especially cities such as Miami and Orlando, which are veritable dens of sodomy.

And while Bieszad and others are blaming the gays for Hurricane Mathew, other Christian extremists blame abortion and Hillary Clinton for the storm.

by smiting impoverished Haiti for the perceived sins of gays in San Francisco and Fire Island. Honestly, didn't their god pay attention to geography when he was creating this rock? Surely if he had a wild hair over gays he'd send the Big One to San Francisco or scoot Matthew away from Florida and straight onto Fire Island, but no, he's aiming at his pious people in Haiti and Florida, instead.

Oh, and he's sent massive thunderstorms to Oklahoma and Kansas, other places full of his most pious followers who beat up gays and try to ban abortions..

Honestly, it's enough to make you realize fundies are full of shit.

(AP) The American gay community placed blame for Hurricane Matthew, a category 4 storm bearing down on Florida's Atlantic Seaboard, squarely on the Christian extremists living in that state.

"All they think of, all day and night, is gay men having sex," said one Miami resident who is gay. "I mean, I'm a gay man and I think about it a lot but I don't discuss it in my church like those people do. And the hate! It drives them insane that somewhere out there, right now, two consenting adult men are <having sex> and enjoying it.

"Of course God sent <Hurricane> Matthew to punish their festering hatred of their fellow man, their anger, and the actions they take in public and in private to release that angry on the public. Their extreme anti-Jesus actions have called this wrath upon the nation as punishment for allowing this hatred to spread."

Christians not following the teachings of Christ. Now, I don't believe any of that nonsense, but it seems to me that the offenses done in the name of Jesus Christ are far worse than people loving other people.

Just saying...

"Jesus is returning, and he's really, really pissed off at people who treated other people badly in his name."

It seems that hurricanes and tornados have the greatest impact in largely evangelical communities. Wouldn't that suggest god has a problem there and not with gays?

Plus it's truly batshit crazy to attribute shitty weather to gays or god.

This god of theirs punished New Orleans for gaiety by wiping the town Baptist seminary off the map while leaving the French Quarter (the gay section of NOLA) untouched. And He did the same thing in this hurricane. Maybe homosexuality isn't what he's pissed about.
