Presidential hurricane warnings

A question for those whose memories are better than mine. How long have presidents gone on national tv to warn people about hurricanes?

I just find it appalling that RWNJs have politicized weather reports. As in, who are you going to believe, us or your own lying eyes? Or something like that. Is that what's behind presidential announcements of weather reports. Hey folks, whatever you think you think is happening or whatever your favorite hate radio host is telling you, I'm your president and I'm really, really not joking.

Maybe this is recent. Maybe not. Just thinking about it.
