Billy Bush didn't release the tape. NBC had this tape. I don't understand ridiculous conspiracy theories on this.

He just got hired to be on the Today Show and there are thousands of social media posts calling on him to resign or to be fired.
I doubt that he had anything to do with releasing a tape that makes him look as bad as Trump.

NBC has to protect their brand, and the safely mommy and family friendly Today Show. The network can't afford to alienate their audience, and if all those women viewers associate Billy Bush with the crass and lewd womanizer, Donald Trump, he's gone. Like it or not, its the same perception of 'birds of a feather' that has ended many a career.

The B.F.E.E. has in its DNA 1) living off the national purse, and 2) getting REVENGE on its enemies. Ask Manuel NORIEGA, Saddam, Dan RATHER, and countless others. It's RICH that a BUSH is involved even tangentially.

(On the Daily Mail site so could well be BS) was that Access Hollywood was going to run an edited version, but someone there leaked it so that Bush would be caught up in this too, that BB is hated there etc. Who knows.

Please Clap sunk like a rock soon after the primary started, Even before the Trump beat down and Low Energy, Jeb was out of it. It would have been a wasted shot at that time.

about the tape, which they were planning to release early this upcoming week, which of course would have been after the 2nd debate.

My guess is that someone in one of those organizations with access to the tape offered it to David Fahrenthold to get it on the record before the debate. Fahrenthold had the story vetted and out in about 4 hours, which makes me wonder whether NBC was deliberately holding it back in order to not set off a bombshell in advance of Sunday. They didn't need to do much to establish its bonafides. (Perhaps their attorneys are more cautious than WaPo's are.)

I doubt if it had anything to do with Billy Bush, who also sounded like a horse's ass on the recording, playing stooge to Trump. And sadly, I suspect that the conversation may not have been all that remarkable/unusual to the parties involved for them to immediately recall it after 11 years.
