My 2 cents

We'll find out how the Trump tapes work out on Tuesday.
When Hillary stumbled on 9/11 I said "Wait until next Tuesday" - a week and a half for the polls to reflect how much it hurt. It hurt but she never went "underwater" in the polls.
The RNC doesn't have that long to wait. They have to make their decision a full month out.

The debate tomorrow night is the last great stand or chance for them.
Immediately after the debate they will start watching the focus groups ( their own as well as TV) and polling like mad particularly in western states. The MidWest and east will be polled to death all day Monday. Then they will start pouring through the numbers. An all nighter.
At that point they have to make a decision to bail on Trump in terms of any ad buys and other funding. Part of that decision is what else is coming out - they will tap into every contact they have to find out how many and how bad the next releases could be.

Pence stays in I think. The question is for the Senate and House candidates. How far can they get away from Trump in a month? It's may be too late to produce new ads and There are contracts the affiliates already have with other advertisers to consider. Print media could really come into play here. BIG HEADLINES but they have to space them out so it's not all lumped together. They have to get THEIR NAME in the headline but unfortunately TRUMP will still be right bedside it.

We'll find out on Tuesday. It all hinges on tomorrow night. But it might already be too late.
