Mike Pence will not get the GOPee nod this year or in 2020.

This year simply won't happen. He's on a sinking ship and there are no life rafts or lifejackets.

In 2020, people will remember him not cutting Trump loose and unendorsing. In my mind, among the field this year, the leader for 2020 is Kasich.

He is far too extreme. If he were the nominee there would be a spotlight shining on his past support for gay conversion therapy and funerals for fetuses. There is just no way he will ever be President.

First he was awful in the debate denying things Trump had said. Then he flip-flopped yesterday by first supporting, praising and standing by Trump in the speech he gave after the bombshell, only to turn around and issue a written statement critical of Trump later in the day when he realized the fallout that was occurring. So he didn't even have the decency or common sense to realize the severity of Trump's comments on the tape until hours later after so many others had expressed shock and dismay.

If he stays on the ticket, he is forever tainted by the Trump brand. (Stained? Oh, don't go there, Staph!)

If he leaves the ticket, he has lost the future votes of the Neanderthal branch of the Republican party.

Sorry, Mike. Thanks for playing!
