Inside Trump Tower, an Increasingly Upset and Alone Donald

By MAGGIE HABERMAN
OCT. 9, 2016

... Mr. Trump was asked to stay away from a party gathering Saturday afternoon in Wisconsin, where Speaker Paul D. Ryan and other state luminaries took the stage, a striking rebuke that left the Republican nominee for president with no place to go on a Saturday 31 days before the election.

So he remained inside his enormous penthouse apartment on the 66th floor, and his corporate suite 40 stories below, for almost all of Friday and Saturday ...

The deliberations over a possible interview were moving ahead despite Ms. Trump’s lack of interest in appearing on camera. But then Nancy O’Dell, the former “Access Hollywood” host whom Mr. Trump had lewdly described in the recording, issued a statement denouncing his comments. And then more tapes of Mr. Trump speaking crudely about women, this time on “The Howard Stern Show,” turned up on television ...

... the real source of comfort to Mr. Trump seemed to be the small band of supporters waving Trump signs on the Fifth Avenue sidewalk outside the building. His fans clashed with people walking by, including a woman who told a female Trump supporter that she should go back to her “trailer” ...

He's the best chance at embarrassing the repug's right into a total blue landslide! Perhaps he'll tune into enough Faux Noize bias confirmation shit pie to keep him from dropping out of the race. Gotta give the guy credit for ripping bare the ugly underbelly no previous Repug candidate has been idiotic enough to expose.

When I see those polls that say 70 something percent of Democrats think he should drop out, I think they are not thinking this through. Sorry I saw this poll and can't find the source.

I understand where they are coming from. That he is unfit for the office of President, but what I fear most is that he drops out while there is still time to soothe the Rethug base, while convincing all those "undecided" that the Republican party is back in the hands of true conservatives with Pence, or Cruz as the candidate. That it was all a big mistake but they've RIGHTED the ship now and they can now finally defeat the 'evil witch'.

But it sure seems that I don't have that much to fear. His hubris will keep him fighting til the end. But you just know that he will be screaming about election rigging right after. And his idiot minions will be echoing it and maybe even revolt violently.

And take your spawn with you.

With any luck, their bodies will land on the small band of supporters, especially Christie and Giuliani.

Why would a person say such a cruel thing? Trailer? That's right up (or down) there with basements.

except that sans his worshipful fans he would (and in the future perhaps will) have his own Morton Downey Jr. moment.
