Who was the most embarrassing Democratic Presidential nominee in your lifetime?

In mine, maybe Dukakis, but I don't really member 1988 being born during the Raygun years, I guess Gore or Kerry would ones I can remember, still far less embarrassing than Dumpf for the Repukes

Especially his 'riding in the tank' thing. I mean, Reagan never served. I thought the Reagan campaign's laughter made them seem arrogant and aristocratic.

George W Bush was an embarrassment at the time ... but even he was head and shoulders above this bloated narcissist

5. None. I'll be 67 next month, and I have never been embarrassed by any Dem presidential candidate.

I find your question distasteful.

Dukakis would have been a 100 times better president than Poppy.

11. The closest to embarrassment was George McGovern and the Eagleton Affair

Thomas Eagleton was an apparently well-liked (as in they returned him to the Senate after what you're about to read happened) Democratic Senator from Missouri. In 1972, Senator George McGovern named him his running mate in the presidential election. Then it came out Sen. Eagleton suffered from depression severe enough to put him in the hospital repeatedly, where he received electroshock therapy at least twice. When this came out, McGovern fired Eagleton from the ticket and replaced him with Sargent Shriver.

This was enough to put Dick Nixon back in the White House.

But really guys, all of our presidential nominees have been decent people. About the only bad thing you can say about Dukakis is he looked kinda goofy, but I didn't vote for him because of his face. Compare that to the GOP ticket...if there is a god he punishes us for our sins by putting Republicans in the White House when we need straightening out.
