They are already on the ground in Haiti and had resources stockpiled and ready to move into the area as soon as the storm had passed. They also have a 4 out of 4 star rating with Charity Navigator.

They tend to be more intune with the actual needs and have the ground game to deliver the most bang for the buck. Forward in Health, Mission Haiti Medical, Mission of Hope, Mission of Love. These are just a few. Even with the housing issues Haiti is facing right now, the health concerns are even more staggering. That last one was founded by the doctor I had while growing up.
