Steve Schmidt was interesting on Morning Joe today. They asked for his predictions, & he said if

elections were held today, Hillary would have over 400 electoral votes, Democrats take the Senate, and Democrats are close to taking the House. They're down by 25 seats. He says the House internals are trending down and "it's panic time."

I don't think I've ever said this, but I really hope he's right.

You say Mike Schmidt supports Hillary? I didn't hear that. I did, though, get a Facebook post this morning telling me that Tom Hanks loves Donald and the Trumpettes.

Those guys never give up and neither should we.

No, Tom Hanks Did Not Endorse Donald Trump

You say Mike Schmidt supports Hillary? I didn't hear that.

No, I didn't mean that. The OP had erroneously claimed (and what she/he quickly corrected) that it was Mike Schmidt who said that Hillary Clinton will win in a landslide when it was Steve Schmidt (follow link in my previous post).

Hanks actually has said it's in incomprehensible to him how Trump is even allowed to run at this point. I saw it just the other day while he was promoting his new film!

He's not a fan of Trump, at least that's how he comes across on Rachel's show. I disagree with almost every positive thing he says about Repubs when he's out spinning, but I would take this prediction seriously.

May I add: Woo Hoooooo!

I don't agree with many of his views, but I respect him as a pundit. He isn't crazy and he isn't mean. He understands that liberals have a different viewpoint and his goal isn't to destroy them because of it.

There used to be more statesmen like Schmidt in the GOP. It's too bad the nuts drove them out.

I definitely disagree with his policy stances, but he's a decent guy. I'm glad to see someone advocating for civil discourse.

I remember him talking about an incident during the 2008 campaign. McCaine rejected birtherism during the campaign and Schmidt said he was proud of that.

Republican for me, but among the last remnant of halfway sane Republicans, he's still generally cogent.

Let's hope he's on the money here.
