Will Chris Wallace stand up for journalism or for FOX News propaganda tonight?

This is probably the biggest day of his broadcasting career. I expect him to do a very good job, notwithstanding his FOX credentials.

He has given the candidates 6 topics that will be discussed. The last one will be about "temperament" for the job. The challenge for Wallace will be to keep them on topic.

Donald Trump is doing his best to turn the debate into a huge reality show event.

"Let's get ready to ru-u-u-umble!"

I hope Chris Wallace does the job of a journalist tonight?

works for a network that historically does very poor news reporting and analysis -- on purpose.

Wallace may dislike Trump because Trump makes the conservative cause a freak show. And he may have to show some restraint wih Clinton because he he knows she is extremely likely to be the next President of the United States.

Fox stands for one thing: the GOP. Expect this debate to cover little other than Monica Lewinsky, Hillary's emails, health and of course BENGHAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he said he wasn't there to referee them, that they could argue it out themselves. I see this as a free for all...no kidding. Trump has nothing to lose, he's going all out, & he's pissed. I honestly know Hillary can stand her own ground, but he scares me around her. UGH

has ever been selected to host a presidential debate. Has anyone from MSNBC ever hosted a presidential debate?

In any event, this is a big feather in FOX News' hat and they'd be nuts to screw up a once in a lifetime opportunity of appearing like a legitimate news organization in front of a huge national audience of potential new viewers. That said, I don't believe for a second that Wallace wouldn't go off the rails if he saw an opportunity to make partisan attacks on Hillary and give Trump some puffballs.

..."job" is to be "tough" on both. On a personal level, both candidates are against Wallace's interests. Hillary would cost him a lot of money in taxes and Trump would go up against employer FOX.

and allow FOX viewers at least to feel safe that they made a good choice. That's a lot of pressure on him because FOX viewers will be expecting FOX news propaganda angles to these questions tonight, but the GOP itself would probably wish this candidate back into the cornfield for good. Either way he goes he probably gets criticism from the right.

The left is expecting a terrible debate heavily slanted to the right so...pretty much no pressure on Hillary.
