Edit for clarity: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska is leaving the ACA market.
Meanwhile a D Congressman in Nebraska (Ashford) is campaigning against the ACA.
With Blue Cross' exit, Nebraskans can expect even higher health premiums through Obamacare: http://www.omaha.com/livewellnebraska/with-blue-cross-exit-nebraskans-can-expect-even-higher-health/article_08c67d72-691e-5a4e-a8ef-c4eb400873ea.html

(90,714 posts)I suppose you also know that Hillary Derangement Syndrome started with her trying to get a health care act past Newt Gingrich on behalf of President Bill Clinton.
Moving on to the present: There is still a lot of work to be done on the ACA. It starts with giving Hillary Clinton a Democratic majority in the Senate and the House, something we failed to do for President Obama.

(574 posts)Well said, PoliticAverse. Democrats were too wimpy when they had both chambers. They should have taken several pages from the Republican playbook and said fuck compromise. Instead, Democrats cowered when Republicans so much as whispered "filibuster." Republicans took an oath to obstruct Obama at every turn, no matter what the cost to the country; for once, they stayed true to their word.

(82,849 posts)Did Blue Shield leave Nebraska because of the ACA, or because Nebraska refused to join in Medicare expansion?
Think, think.
