THE REPUBLICAN PARTY - Today & Tomorrow

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY - Today & Tomorrow

Large part of the Republican Party’s election catastrophe (named Trump) lies at the feet of the RNC Chairman who will no doubt be forced to resign when this election is over. That being said, it was not solely his fault.

Every single Republican candidate for President was initially amused at Trump's candidacy and did not bother to confront him before it was too late and Trump had already corralled the Alt-Right'ers into his camp. There was plenty of material in the public domain that should have disqualified him as a candidate for President. They let him bully his way to the Republican nomination then couldn't fold into his campaign fast enough to salvage their political futures because he controlled the 40'ish% of the Republican Party consisting of extremely voiceful right wingers who by this time had incorporated some unsavory elements such as the KKK.

Lastly, the GOP leaders of the House and Senate were equally derelict in their responsibilities to their party. Their silence during the primaries and general election processes allowed Donald Trump to be where he is today. Controlling or as some put it, controlled by the Alt-Right. Now, whether the Republican Party likes it or not, they are hooked to him at the hip for the remainder of this election. They can’t chastise him because that would anger the Alt-right divisions within their party who then most likely, will take it out on the down ballot GOP candidates across all States. In effect, nobody from the Republican Party had the guts to cut the rope. They had many chances to do this during and immediately after the primaries but chose to stay put in the hopes that things would get better. They didn't. They got worse. Much worse and with three weeks to go, it could get a lot worse.

By the time the Republican Party realized the dire position they were in, it was too late. The Donald today controls the 40% of the Republican Party and everything he is doing and saying today, as evidenced by the latest debate, is shore up his support from the Alt-Righ'ers in the Republican Party. The Donald is not going away. The power has gone to his head, so to speak. Today he controls the minds of the millions in the Alt-Right’ers. He has a plan that includes them. A plan to enrich himself. A plan called the Trump Media Network in some form or another. This network will prey and grow from within the Republican Party.

All the Republican Party can do now, is pray for the election to be over without too much damage from which to resurrect the party. They evaluated their principles & party platform after the last election when Romney lost but lacked the backbone to stand up to the extreme factions within their own party. The same extreme factions that they themselves had nurtured and filled with hate against anything and anyone from the political spectrum that were not from the Republican Party. This goal is harder today than it was 4 years ago. The Alt-right divisions are filled with hate against anyone that is not in line with their extreme ideology. The Republican Party is thus in effect at a critical point in their history. They will need to take drastic measures to survive as a principled party. A Party that stands for American ideals. That is a challenge that the GOP will face. It is inevitable.

For America’s sake, it is very important that the Republican Party take a stand and make these drastic changes to embrace and educate their voters and win supporters with logic rather than hate, mis-information, gerrymandering and upmanship of the electoral processes in Congress.

For America’s sake and for our democracy’s sake, it is vital that the Republican Party succeeds. The Republican Party was and needs to exist as a counterweight to the Democratic Party to ensure that the political parties in this country continue to strive and work towards a unified goal of, “By the people & For the People” and for the betterment of our United States of America.

Trump is not dragging the GOP down to his level.

They lowered themselves to meet him down there in the depths.

They can't discard the last 40 years of work they've done to gain and solidify the support of racist Ayn Rand disciples across the country.

This is not an accidental fire, this is the GOP's bonfire - They stacked the logs, they lit the match. Nobody wants to hear them cry about it burning their house down.

We just need to stand by with hoses to keep the flames from destroying everything else.
