Hey all. Haven't been posting much at all in years as my career track and life have gone through a lot of positive changes. Still looks like a few familiar screen names are here.
Anyway, was directly approached by a recruiter from them via LinkedIn about a potential position. Very specific in my background regarding media finance. Zero to do with on air content.
Have worked for numerous medium & large corporations, so it isn't as though I still can't be a progressive with some company values that can run contrary to my personal political beliefs. Contemplating whether this would truly be selling my soul to the devil though. If it reached the stage where I was offered anything. Was curious about my fellow DU'ers thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

(111,267 posts)I'd give it a year to pad my resume while I looked for something, anything, better, even a magazine skating on the brink of bankruptcy.
I might cite "editorial differences" as my reason for leaving.
Not desperate. But it could be a worthwhile stepping stone mid career.
Editorial differences don't necessarily apply at all in this role.

If you can feel okay for it, that is all that matters.
