IF you vote absentee (Ohio specific, but may apply elsewhere)

Last edited Fri Oct 21, 2016, 01:08 PM - Edit history (1)

Here in Ohio, you can go to your county board of elections website and find out when they receive your ballot and if it is accepted. Remember, it may take time to get thru the process; I sent mine in the 13th, it was received the 20th (most mail gets across town in a day, but this time...) and today I see my ballot has been accepted. Absentee ballots are the first ones counted after the polls close Election Day. That includes the in-person early balloting, so when they give first results, we're the folks they are talking about!
Check your local BOE website and make sure your vote counts!

Editing to add--the web-addresses aren't standardized, but the BOE for all the counties of Ohio are listed

It has been suggested that early voting could wrap this up for Hillary before election day--GOTV, folks!

it's very important we get out the vote EARLY and before election day! Preferably by mail.

I hope more people will check in this thread and post links to their State's ballot-status websites. It would help DUers and others who might come by for a visit to look up if their ballot has been received and counted!
