then married again in 1993 and divorced in 1999
then married again in 2005

He met his second wife in 1989 and began an affair with her ??? Presumably even before the first divorce.

There's a fairly small window in there between the divorce in 1999 and the dating of Melania. In fact he was in a relationship with her in 1999.

I guess some couples separate and then consider that it is okay for each of them to sleep around or date other people even though they are still legally married.

So if this story is true, it would seem he was trying to cheat on somebody at the time.

Of course, it is possible that this happened even before the marriage in 1977.
