You both have said.
What used to be "private" via emails is gone forever, and, it IS amazing how high-level people in our government don't understand that this IS the digital age. I mean, if you can KEEP/Obtain phone messages off a phone tower from cell phone usage, then it's easy as pie for those who are knowledgeable and inclined to hack into someone's personal email accounts to steal and or alter stolen emails for no good as well.
