There is no reason at this point for the Republican perspective to be given even partial credence let alone for former Bush-Cheney officials to be on the air. There is no drama without two parties and drama is the media's product not information.

Perfect example - the 2006 midterms. Dems wides the floor with a Repub party that was basically over. A woman speaker of the House which was given attention for a day or two and the media went right into the next election. 2010 is mentioned endlessly but not 2006.

The administration set the policy. Obama's administration responded to the lack of transparency by establishing (but, unfortunately not enforcing) rules to facilitate transparency.

Obviously the Bush administration had low standards in that area. Would that really justify our side not meeting the ones laid out by Obama's administration? To justify it based on the secrecy of the Bush administration is a very flawed strategy. I want a transparent government.

It's forgivable, but to use Bush's secrecy as a defense is very weak and only keeps the story rolling.

Obama was Commander-in Chief during collapse of Libya and Syria.

Reagan and W. Under Obama and Clinton's time as Sec of State, 4 died in one attack. The numbers under GOP presidents are way, way bigger--even excluding 9/11 p, which occurred because W blew off warnings, or the 4000+ Americans who died in Iraq.
