University of Guam exit poll has Democrats taking legislative supermajority

Early exit poll results from the University of Guam don’t look good for the Republican Party, as Democrats are favored to secure a supermajority in the legislative race — picking up an additional seat — while Democratic Guam Del. Madeleine Bordallo is poised for another term in congressional office, with 56 percent support, compared to 44 percent for Republican former Gov. Felix Camacho.

Sen. Frank Aguon Jr. polled the highest among all the candidates running for legislative office, according to the exit poll. The survey of 607 voters shows two Republican incumbents, Brant McCreadie and Tony Ada, ranked 24th and 25th, respectively, and at great risk of being ousted.

Incumbent Democrat Rory Respicio also is in danger of being ousted, the poll shows, as he ranked 17th among those polled.
