I know that, historically, heavy voter turn out

Favors the good guys. Dems.

Home from work due to steady rain, I can see the parking lot of the church that is the polling place for the surrounding neighborhoods, which have a fairly sizable mix of minority families. There has been a steady stream of cars coming and going, since I opened the blinds 3 hours ago. The elections I've been home to observe traffic in the past were nothing compared to what I'm seeing today, here in central Illinois.

35 minutes wait at 6 am in a blue County that went red in 2014 on light turnout. I know its anecdotal but around here heavy turnout favors the Dems.
