I'm just too damned excited!

She hated when they took her job away at the end of the war. She, too, taught me to be independent, to stand up for myself and what is right. I have been thinking alot about her lately.

I also wore white today and carried my mother & grandmother into the booth with me. This is my 11th presidential election & the first one that I purposely selected my outfit.

Today's a Big deal - more emotional than I expected.

My grandmother was nine years old when the Eighteenth Amendment was ratified. She didn't live to see this day. My mother didn't live to see this day. My daughter, on the other hand, is alive and early voted for Madam President. I felt like I was voting for all of them.

I'm about to go vote now. I was phone banking in the morning. I have on a white campaign t-shirt from 2008 and jeans. It's the same t-shirt I had on when she won NJ in 2008 during the primaries. I'm wearing it for good luck.

I have admired Hillary since I was a young woman and she became our first lady. I had never seen a first lady like her in my lifetime.

My heart fills with joy at the thought that she will be our first female president.

My vote will be cast in memory of my mother who died in 2009 and didn't get to see the election of our first woman president.

This is for all the women who sacrificed so much to get us to this point in history. This vote is for all you with a big THANK YOU!!!
