Yesterday afternoon in a press release from the Governors Office, they announced that Governor Kasich had appointed Stanley Jackson to the State Board of Education to fill the remainder of the term of the recently retired Dennis Reardon.
According to the Dispatchs Joe Vardon, Kasichs office could not produce a resume for the Buckeye QB:
The Kasich administration announced Jacksons appointment at 5:15 p.m. Monday. Kasich spokesman Rob Nichols said the staff could not immediately produce Jacksons resume, but that one would be available Tuesday.
Nichols said Jackson was selected because hes a father of four, was involved in a Columbus-area charter school, is from a rural district (a requirement), and shares the governors vision on education.
