Kanye West Reveals That if He Had Voted, it Would Have Been for Trump Because His Strategy Was ‘Absolutely Genius’

Kanye West took time out of his concert in San Jose, California Thursday night to announce that he didn’t vote, but that if he had voted, it would have been for Donald Trump. San Jose voted blue, and not surprisingly, the audience immediately started booing.

He also implored his audience to “stop focusing on racism. This world is racist, okay?” He argued that regardless of the outcome of the election, the country still would be racist.

It seems West’s views are complicated. While he may support Trump now, he attended a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in August of 2015 that cost $2,700 per plate to attend. He also previously announced plans to run for President in 2020. It’s unclear whether as a Trump supporter, he still plans to do that.
