Is there a Republican Senator in your state who might swing and

is not on board with Donald Trump? Did that Senator speak against Trump? If so, it's time to muster the Democrats in your state and put pressure on that Senator to either switch parties or vote with the Democrats on crucial issues. In my state, both Senators are Democrats, so I have no way to pressure a Senator to use reason rather than party loyalty on issues that are dangerous to the United States and what it stands for.

If you have a reasonable Senator who is a Republican, it's time to open a dialog with that Senator and encourage him or her to stand up to pressure to gut the Constitution and turn the United States into a petty, tyrannical nation. Take a look at your Senators and see if there isn't some way to convince at least one of them to stand up for what is proper and to resist bigotry and hatred.

Tell us who you think might be open to conversation. We'll help.

8. Unfortunately, I think that Susan Collins is the only one that I truly think could switch.

I would say Rand Paul, but his Kentucky constituents would go nuts.
There are very few rational Republicans with a moderate voting base left.

10. I have full confidence that Rand Paul will oppose Trump on some things.

Especially the authoritarian posturing and/or aggressive military policy. Paul will cave on most issues though, but maybe something he's not so good on, Portman, Collins, etc. might be better.

I wish we could get some Senators to switch to Independent but I don't think there are 3 who could. Collins and Murkowski are the only ones who I think would ever consider it.
