A national strike

I have my doubts that this could happen here, as it does in European countries. But all the protests and calling congresspeople and petitions won't stop what they will do to this country. When they gut medicare and Social Security and send the nation into a spiral of debt inflation and economic collapse, while taking away basic civil liberties.
Nothing short of a national strike will slow it down. But as i said, i don't think the American people are up to it.

that the next year may actually bring such an event. or attempt, will materialize. I'm just gonna wait and see. I found a safe place to hole up for now so I think a low profile is best for me at this point.

Fear for my safety - 30%; That sense that I will have to deal with another decade of little resources or opportunity for financial stability - 70%.

My work usually depends on funding of federal employees and contractors and my safety on the job usually depends on public perception of uniformed public servants. It's a thing. And I'm quickly approaching retirement age so there's that whole can of worms staring at me from the road ahead...

I'm not looking forward to the next ten years if the election results aren't overturned or invalidated and a clean, paper only rerun takes place immediately.

a few years away, will be corrupted and curtailed by Trump.

My wife and I should have a livable income, but they could take that all away.

But I sincerely hope you aren't counting "if the election results aren't overturned or invalidated and a clean, paper only rerun takes place immediately."

Trump is going to be President, there is no way to stop at this point absent the Republican House and Republican Senate turning on him. There is no mechanism in the Constitution for a re-vote, and it is wholly unconstitutional for the federal government to mandate what kind of ballots states use.

We the voters, at the state level, need to demand the paper ballots, because it's only at the state level can it be forced.
