Any further investigation of Hillary would need to come from the FBI or the Justice Dept. who have already declined to charge her with anything, and have signaled strongly that the prospect for any of that is extremely remote.
What Trump is doing is pretending he's backing off of Clinton while doing nothing to stop the republican Congress from continuing to politicize the nonetheless deflated-scandal. Congress will likely use Clinton to deflect from investigating Trump for as long as they're able, but I think his money schemes will eventually overwhelm the system and force several investigations of him and his WH partners.
That's the pattern with every issue the press claims is off the table today. Trump doesn't have the power to make every change he promised, but will be a rubber stamp for whatever the republican Congress puts in front of him. That makes the promises he made during the campaign still active and threatening.

We'll see how much of a deflection Hillary still is, stacked up against the certain Trump scandals.

Obama has to Pardon not only Hillary but her whole family as well as others at Aide level during her time at State.
Judicial Watch is in Court trying to do discovery on more E-mails. With this bunch of hacks, the only way to shut this farce down is let Obama do his thing.

On the other hand, several Trump charges will certainly be threatening the new administration from mirror organizations committed to holding republicans accountable.
