Potential 2020 Democratic Candidates

I love Bernie but realistically, he won't run in 2020 if he is still around. We need a fiery progressive to take the reins of this damaged party. A pragmatic, charismatic Democrat with political experience that could compete with Trump's popularity via television recognition and defeat him with intelligence. The only choice for me, so far: Al Franken.

I will also be looking at what we need to do in the midterms.

...and not a classic 99.9% "referendum", of the sort dictators love...how about Mark Cuban? He isn't a politician, which is what the people seem to want. He won't be 70 years old, or more, in 2020. He might put Texas into play. And he wouldn't be intimidated by Trump in the least. He's far from perfect, but I'd vote for a lamp post over Trump.

Keep an eye on this guy. He got elected in the 2014 Red Wave and has been able to get progressive action going in Pennsylvania despite the gerrymandered legislature.

I think they can unite the party. They are very popular with Clinton voters and Sanders voters alike.

What do Californians think about Gavin Newsom? I've seen him on TV a few times and he's very charismatic. Also one of the Castro brothers perhaps? Unfortunately Jennifer Granholm was born in Canada. I always liked Barbara Boxer as well.
