Rebel US presidential electors ....

Rebel US presidential electors plot to block Donald Trump by undermining electoral college

Several of the electors who will officially select the US president next month are plotting to undermine the electoral college by casting their votes for a candidate other than Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

The small group of Democratic electors initially hoped to bring enough of their Republican counterparts on side to keep Mr Trump short of the 270 votes he needs to be named president.

That plan would see electors from both sides of the aisle cast ballots for a moderate Republican like John Kasich or Mitt Romney, draining support from both presidential nominees and denying Mr Trump a majority of votes.

In such circumstances the Constitution dictates that the House of Representatives would step in and elect the next president.

It can't work, but I guess it makes people feel better to dream about it.

Democratic presidential electors revolt against Trump

6 electors already straying, now lobbying others to join them...but not for Hillary, just to deny Donald the 270 he needs to win, then throw it down to the house.

Waste of time unless all of the Trump electors jump ship and support HRC.

I can dream.

Trump will be the POTUS, unless he meets his demise before January 20th, which isnt going to happen either, and then we get Pence which is probably even more of a clusterfuck. It is utterly out of our hands.

The OP and others are tilting at windmills.

But, why would the 46% of the population that didn't vote, do so in the future? At a time when people are calling themselves "anti-establishment," which I think really means anti-government only in the sense that they dislike paying taxes and having to buy insurance.
We can work to eliminate the electoral college or we can exploit it. I'd rather work on getting rid of it.
