Media Will Not Cover Protests Going Forward. Will Label Protesters As Terrorists.

The media will help Trump suppress all the protests. Fox news will call for the police to end them. We are in a new era where totalitarianism will be in our face like no other time.

Dumpfenfuhrer's shock troops are tuning up on the Native Americans protesting the pipeline in ND even as we speak.

You do understand that our corporate media is funded by petrocorporations, gas guzzling car companies, and Wall Street investment firms, don't you?

We are in several wars, occupations, and coups of other people's nations - all in petrocorporation's favor.

We are already in the place you think will happen in the future.

And the DAPL protests. Simply refuse to cover them and they disappear from the "news" coverage in favor of more important matters such as Melania Trump's dresses and Trump waving to people.

while the USA turns fascist with a big assist from Comey's FBI and the Russians.

I'm sure CNNMSNBCFOX will be having 24/7 panel discussions on Mrs Fuhrer's dress maker and the latest Kim Kardashian news.

Protests planned to maximize media coverage are not always terribly effective. Ho-hum, yawn, look Marge, another picture of massive crowds with signs somewhere...

We need to start thinking about other kinds of impact, and forget about the media. You can bet that if crowds of a few hundred showed up on the same day, at approximately the same time, carrying banners and signs and standing silently outside the home offices of GOP Congresscritters, their staff WOULD tell the DC staff... the word WOULD percolate through the GOPpie caucus.

Media, schmedia... it's their own choice to focus on short-term gains, make this-quarter profits, and become irrelevant, versus take the hits, do the courageous thing, sacrifice and become part of history.

Their past actions have shown what choices they're likely to make.

adamantly,
Bright

because they thought it would scare people. In every other instance, they deliberately underestimate the turn out.

I sent in an LTE reminding them about the Free Speech zones we got herded into during George W. Bush's Reign of Error and, if they tried to suppress news about protests during this administration I would be taking my subscription dollars elsewhere.

If they get enough people delivering that message, they'll listen.
