Donald Trump Jr. held talks on Syrian war with Russian supporters in Paris last month

The Wall Street Journal notes that the disclosure of a meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and pro-Russia figures poses new questions about contacts between the president-elect, his family and foreign powers.
The meeting, which was held Oct. 11 in Paris, was hosted by a French think tank whose founder, Fabien Baussart, and his wife, Randa Kassis, have worked closely with Russia to try to end the Syrian conflict, according to the Journal.
Kassis told the paper that "without Russia, we can't have any solution in Syria" because the U.S. and France are not on the ground.
The Obama administration terminated talks with Russia over Syria last month due to a Russian-backed bombing campaign in Aleppo, the Journal also notes.
Trump aide Kellyanne Conway confirmed Donald Jr.'s attendance at the meeting, but downplayed his contact with the think tank.

So, the son was working as ambassador to Russia for Trump even before the election?????
Or has Trump been involved in global politics all along?

Which means he has connections, contacts and interests with Russia that the USA does not support.

meetings held by Trump people with Countries around the World. Appears we are just now seeing how the Rethugs and Trump skewed this past election.

I don't support a lot of the nations the US chooses to support, primarily Saudi Arabia.

Not saying anything specifically on this issue which all I can say is I oppose Russia's decision to back Assad who is one of the worst of the worst human rights violators. ISIS wouldn't have become what they are if it wasn't for him because if he wasn't a brutal human rights violator then the affected civilian population would find little reason to join them.

If you recall they were formally Al Qaeda in Iraq that were down to small numbers, increased their numbers in Syria then expanded back to Iraq after years of Al Maliki brutally oppressing Sunni and Kurdish opposition.

What they really need is a humanitarian approach from world powers and one that isn't a for profit interest which is why rhe US is even concerned with Syria.
