The MM & V post of the Tea Party chanting the mantras of insults, meaningless words, with fury and hatred for a liberal who wanted to make things in the USA again was chilling. They all were birthers, it was like watching robots.

These are the people next door, working in hospitals, in the stores, running school boards, election boards, all of that. Why would they care if someone they despise, like these poor boys, get abused by one of their heroes?

I am truly afraid for those who are coming into the world and will be forced to live with them. I wish I'd foregone parenthood. I thought the human race was moving forward, at least a part of it.

I hope he gets convicted, but don't think so. Such arrogance as Sandusky's wife and attorney have says a lot. They are not afraid, no more than Bush or Cheney are.

Perhaps the devolution of laws and society is what needs to take place in this world. I hope I am completely wrong about it all.

Because this whole situation is horrible, and if this man gets away with it, regardless of the social consequences, others will be emboldened to do it, too.

reporting on the trial for MSNBC and Martin Bashir. The subject was about Sandusky not testifying and the possible reasons for not doing so and the reporter talked about one of Sandusky's adopted sons being brought in to testify for the prosecution as a rebuttal witness if Sandusky had testified. They then went on to discuss the other, more obvious, reasons ie brutal cross-examination that would have taken place, etc.

I found the piece re the adopted son interesting and I hope more is said/written on this.

No one really knows what kind of testimony he may have. I did read somewhere that he attempted suicide once (he was already with the Sanduskys as a foster child placement, but not yet formally adopted, as I understand it).

At this point, it's only speculation. Maybe one day we will know what he was planning to say, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sandusky had groomed or molested foster children or grandchildren or others not involved with The Second Mile.

Let's not forget that only Victims 1 through 8 were introduced (two of which have never been identified) at trial. But there are victims 9 through 17 (at least) still out there who testified to grand juries and/or prosecutors.

One of the alleged victims is going public. He was not a witness at the trial.

on Chris Matthew's show, hopefully more information will be forthcoming.

Your post is excellent and I completely agree with your point re not being surprised of Sandusky had groomed or molested the foster children, etc, and we must not forget that there were more alleged victims than the 8 who testified.

Thanks for the info on Matt Sandusky as to whether he had been adopted or was still living with them as a foster child yet to be adopted.
