We Are Seeing The Completion Of The Reagan Revolution.

Trump is the completion of what Reagan started. In 1981 I was raising hell about what Reagan was up to. He unleashed a horde of demon policies that took all these years to mature. The GOP pushed forward bit by bit. Now here we are. Reagan planted the seeds of destruction with his "SERVICE ECONOMY". and his attacks on unions and high paying jobs in manufacturing. And the GOP went along and started the process.

Reagan and the GOP obliterated what won WWII.

It's about the year 1979, and the forces that conspired to put a strange combination of free market capitalists and right-wing religious figures into power at about the same time. It actually diminishes Reagan's role somewhat compared to the Ayatollah Khomeni and Margaret Thatcher (who feature on the cover).

The author is Christian Caryl.

The code Reagan pushed was obvious. I was able to watch the beast grow because I was right in the middle of it. The voters screwed themselves over and over again. I have been hoping all these years people would get it.

Obama won and I had hope. It was quickly diminished when he took the same strategy Clinton took by being bipartisan. Believing that he could negotiate with people who want to really kill him.

Read the book and here we go again. All of these Trump voters better get use to a permanent subservient class and their masters the one per centers.

This is revolution by and of corporations and the one percent. Bit by bit, as you point out.

Politicians totally bought in. Most of them. The ones who stuck by their principles were replaced.

a worse version of Reagans "Nanny state." Another, more intense, version of "just say no." I can almost hear the trophy prize First Lady saying "just say no to recreational marijuana use." I sure hope I'm wrong about that!!😫 This country appears to be going back in time.
