FYI a recount isn't an audit

An audit would follow the path of the vote from whence it was cast to it being added to the vote totals - it would examine voting machines and methods used during the election process for recording and counting votes.

A recount only recounts votes afterwards. This could still expose some anomalies but it's not as thorough as an audit (which IMO should be conducted by every state after an election - should be Federal law w/ results and issues encountered reported to @CivilRights - IF we lived in a civil, sane country -- which we do not)

Not of every vote of course, but of a representative sample across all voting methods within a state.

And I agree about this not being an audit - they're just going to recount the votes, and I don't think that WI law actually requires them to hand count paper ballots.

I thought all this included an audit, I read that somewhere.
