This is not a time to roll over and play dead. Whatever Mr. Campbell's chances, he DOES represent an alternative to corrupt, incompetent, Republican-style government, and we can hope that enough Louisiana voters are beginning to realize just what a disaster Republican control of the federal government would mean for their state.

If Foster can pull this off in Louisiana, Democrats will control 49 seats in the Senate -- that would significantly improve our chances of stopping Donald Trump when he proposes harmful policies.
