The GOP Will Do Anything They Want. Consider Themselves Electorally Invincible .

Like superman they see themselves as also politically bullet proof now because they can control elections where the GOP has a superior advantage by controlling the vote and how it is counted. . With this election the GOP believes that they cannot be beat because they have locked up the voting systems and will consolidate their hold on rigging elections.

They also have almost all the billionaires, all the media and all the machinery to push all their policies no matter how unpopular, or injurious. We are dealing with a party that believes it will eliminate ALL other political opposition. So if they want to establish a theocratic white only state and oligarchy it is done.

Screw the American people we are the superior party. And they will use force even military to do it.

The Senate and the Electoral College, which give disproportionate power to low populated areas. The ridiculously gerrymandered House. We are now experiencing an unstoppable tyranny of the minority.
Had this discussion with my family yesterday (thankfully we're all liberals). Possibly 3 rays of hope:
1. Looks like we get to keep the filibuster.
2. Attempts to change SS and Medicare will be met with swift and loud opposition (by the same folks who voted for Trump knowing this could happen) and Congresscritters, looking ahead to future campaigns, won't let it happen.
3. The (hopeful) likelihood that the Trump administration will soon be mired in scandals that will take the party down in 2018 and 2020, like Watergate in the 70's.

The people who vote for them will be hurt by their shitty policies. If they're not hit in the pocketbook they'll be asked to feed their children into the meatgrinder of war. And so on and so on. Once they turn their muzzy eyes to those who fucked them over, the real fun will begin.
