Donald Trump's son held secret talks on working with Russia to end Syria conflict

Isn't this a violation of the Logan Act?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/donald-trumps-eldest-son-secret-talks-syria-paris-ritz-russia-a7436706.html

Donald Trump’s eldest son held talks in Paris about collaborating with Russia to end the Syrian conflict – the latest indication of both the President-elect’s likelihood to work with Moscow, and of the way he may include family members as part of his administration.

Donald Trump Jr, 38, participated in discussions last month, that included think-tank founder Fabien Baussart and his wife, Randa Kassis. The Wall Street Journal said Ms Kassis is a leader of a Syrian opposition group that is backed by the Kremlin.

While the US has opposed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and has funded rebels opposed to him, Russia has used its military force to protect his regime and attack rival opposition groups. Ms Kassis’ group reportedly seeks a political transition through cooperation with Mr Assad.

I copied this from Wikipedia:

The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments having a dispute with the U.S. It was intended to prevent the undermining of the government's position.[2] The Act was passed following George Logan's unauthorized negotiations with France in 1798, and was signed into law by President John Adams on January 30, 1799. The Act was last amended in 1994, and violation of the Logan Act is a felony.
To date, only one person has ever been indicted for violating the act's provisions.[2] However, no person has ever been prosecuted for alleged violations of the act.[2]

...or if that would make no difference if someone wanted to prosecute this case?

10. I don't know

What I do know is that Russian drones posted tons of fake news to favor our puppet-elect on Facebook and other sites before selection 2016.

I do remember reading about Russian Hackers hacking into voter registration databases before the election. (Flordia, etc.)

I do remember, in the "debates", Hillary Clinton saying the intelligence agencies were reporting that the Russians were hacking in order to throw the election to the vulgar talking yam.

I do know about voter suppression actions going on in many states.

I read Greg Palast's work on purging voting rolls of people who were likely to vote for the Democrats.

I remember Republicans shortening early voting, and taking away voting machines in poorer areas.

I know what gerrymandering is and how Republicans implemented it in many places.

I remember arms for hostages, and hostages being released when that buffoon R. Reagan was inaguarated.

I remember the judicial coup of 2001. Another time when the guy with the most votes (Al Gore) lost, in a state controlled by the Bush crime family.

It's just GOD DAMN IT how much of this shit am I suppose to take.

The guy sexually assulated women, make fun of the disabled, and is a bully.

I dissent and I resist.

I can't help but think President Obama knows this and doesn't want to put the country in turmoil. But we will be in turmoil as more people will protest the hacked election. And if he starts cracking down and doing to protesters what's going in North Dakota the gloves will come off in this country.
