Nightmare scenario

Now that Herr Drumpf has disrespected China what if China retaliates by changing the terms of their loan to him via the Bank Of China . Note, they are not acting against the United States. Drumpf in turn uses the power of the United States to retaliate against China. As the second largest economy in the world China is not without resources.

4. Most people wouldn't take out a loan where the lender can just arbitrarily change the terms.

I mean what lender wouldn't change the terms to their benefit at will. Yeah that 5% loan it is now 55%.

However I could see some more subtle retaliation against Trump enterprises. Trump hotel in Hong Kong ends up getting fined, or plans for a new hotel denied, or contract going to another company, a shipment of steel gets delayed, etc.
