...and this is mere window dressing by the Obama Administration IMO. He had the power to act much earlier and much more decisively. One has to question why this, at this late hour?

I'm heading back up there next week. There are no plans to dismantle the camps, we are going to maintain our presence there.

I just left there the morning of the relatives taking down the barriers. Almost turned back when I heard what had happened that night.

I agree with you, he could have done something much better and sooner. I think he did it at this late hour because the Vets were coming which finally brought the media.

To all you others saying that we will lose, shush up!!! We know the fight, we understand that there may be bloodshed, which is why there is media (our own) covering it on a daily basis. Better than you we know what lies ahead of us and what lies they speak. We know that the cut to the easement is just a resting time for us, the fight is not over. We have asked and people have heard to take their money out of the banks that are supporting the pipelines, the banks (Wells Fargo) have asked for meeting regarding that. WE have the POWER if we realize it. A wounded enemy is the most dangerous, the peaceful protection of the Earth will continue, we never give up. This is the beginning of something so huge that it is unfathomable to the human mind. Today, we are all relatives of the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota Sioux people. Our voices are being heard and they are ringing around the world, despite the cheeto elect and of world leaders that are similar, the people out number, and are doing for the good of the people will not Lose!!! The veil has been taken away, people ARE waking up. The vets coming was big, not big because they brought the media, but big because they didn't have weapons, or shields, they came with understanding and peace and love. They knew that they might get hurt, beat or arrested, they came anyway, because they are sick of being in wars that have to do with oil, this was something good for them and for us!!! They joined the military because of a calling, and were unsatisfied, but this? this is their calling, to protect the land, the water, to put their lives on the line for that cause. They came home. Talk to any of them, they feel like they are finally home and they're healing. Their nightmares and PTSD are quiet because they feel they are doing the right thing. This is history in the making, nothing will be the same after this if there is an after, I feel like it will be going for a very long time. But, we will win, the PEOPLE will win!!!
