Thank you, Rachel Maddow (and Rush Limbaugh)!

I just finished all of my research for a paper I'm writing in my Sociology class about our favorite bloviating RWer and why people listen to him. Among other sources, I used Al Franken's "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" and Rachel Maddow's epic smackdown of Limbaugh after the Sandra Fluke controversy. Who says college can't be fun?

The world is changing around them, and they feel powerless and unable to adapt -- sort of like Walt Kozlowski in "Gran Torino," only not nearly as smart. And I can't help but think that at least some of his listeners tune in just to laugh at him. We dare not ignore him as we have done in the past, because too many actually take his bloviating seriously. They are probably the same ones who think Stephen Colbert is a conservative.
