I think the one she called for the other day was for a Congressional Investigation--and she, at that time, called out Paul Ryan to do so also.

Russia's attempts to undermine our democracy have grown alarmingly serious. We need a bipartisan, ind. commission. https://goo.gl/Hx3y9V

How did that Bipartisanship work out for you?

(58,785 posts)anything else. They'd intended to go positive and issues oriented at the end -- until COMEY sabotaged the election. Remember, until then, the vast majority of political indicators and polls had us continually ahead.

(34,582 posts)what is wrong with politicians in one simple sentence. They are worried about optics while we take it in the shorts.

(34,661 posts)Now that their Gravy Train derailed, suddenly, wow what happened,as one who slogged in the trenches hoping to make a difference, this was a tough one. And yes it was all about the Optics knowing full well the Media was ready to pounce, but the alternative was what we received. This whole thing was so total fail.

I have FULL confidence that she will do EVERY thing in her power to fight for the American people. She is my congresswoman, and i Just had the privilege of voting for her and seeing her reelected.
If she doesn't succeed, it certainly won't be because she didn't try.

(698 posts)Just like Elizabeth Warren .... It will NEVER come up for a vote in the Senate. The Repubs will never allow anything that has even the remotest possibility to weaken their power.
In effect, America is NO LONGER the World's Best Democracy.

(382 posts)That will give the repubs all the time they need to cover their tracks! Remember the Warren Commission? How about the 911 Commission?
The Dems need to discreetly get started on their investigation NOW, And make sure McConnell stays out of it. He held the information back until AFTER the election, and suddenly his wife gets a cushy job in the Trump administration? C'mon!

(16,113 posts)What will an "independent" commission learn that these two organizations could not? This sound a lot like just kicking the can down the road.
