"Opening Day" event January 21. That's the controversial party that Uday and Qusay were listed as co-directing, with the blatant pay-to-play "hunting party with the Trumps" shakedown. The slime brothers are now dissociating themselves from the event, in the wake of the public shaming (and exposure to legal remedy) over their lack of ethics, but as far as I know, the party is still "on".

The unique characteristic that Trump brings to the table is his complete lack of caring about what anyone thinks of him. Do you think he would behave the way he does if he cared?

There's a lot a person can do if they don't think it's important what others think. This gives Trump tremendous latitude in his actions.

Trump has always had money. This is a terrific assist when building a personality that doesn't care what others think.

Trump might pretend to care, but it's really just a way to exert power and crush those who don't agree with him. It's a way to say "Look what I can do to you, you puny journalist."

He doesn't care, not one whit.

He isn't genuinely offended. He uses these instances to get a one-up on whomever delivered it.

Of course, according to attribution theory, none of us can say what is in another's mind or what their motivation is. This is purely my opinion, but it is based on a semester of analyzing Trump's behavior in an interpersonal communication class. The basis of our analysis was nonverbal communication which, in most cases, does not lie (like verbal communication).

Throughout the years, Trump has courted celebrities to drop into Trump Tower to say hello. And he makes sure to get a photo of them either arms around each other or Trump and guest smiling broadly into the camera with Trump doing a "thumbs up" with his double-jointed digit. And he's made sure to post those pictures.

And now after his concept of being their forever friend, they abandon him when he needs them most. To validate him as one of them.

IMO, Trump has a Queens Inferiority Complex. He has never breached Manhattan Society. Not invited to their parties, offered to be in their corporate boards of directors, be seen in their company. In the Eighties, the Maidstone Club in the Hamptons told him not to even bother applying for permanent membership. He has been ostracized consistently and all he has is the illusion of celebrity, not reputation or family pedigree.

And it burns him that he lost to Kasich as far as votes in the primary in Manhattan.

Trump has a pathological fear of being ridiculed/humiliated. During a President's term of office there are always numerous events where A-List entertainers are invited for one reason or another (adding star power to a State dinner, providing entertainment for an event put on for a visiting dignitary, and so on.). He may find that he is shunned for his entire presidency which will result in ongoing humiliation. He will not be able to stand it and will probably be out for revenge.

He needs to grow up, grow a pair and develop a thicker skin or it may end up being a miserable time for him.

Alabama? Yeah, they'll probably be there with bells on.

Obama is still in office until the 20th, so maybe the typical timing of the WH visit could be sped up?
