Monica Crowley: Fast And Furious A Conspiracy To Undermine The Second Amendment
Posted by Ellen 40.20pc on June 21, 2012
Monica Crowley, Fox News conspiracy-theory gal, predictably appeared on Hannity last night to offer her insights into the Fast and Furious investigation. And lo and behold she saw a conspiracy! This was no botched operation but a deliberate effort by the Obama administration set up as an assault on the Second Amendment. Crowley, who also made a name for herself by buddying up to Richard Nixon, also agreed with Sean Hannity that this so-called scandal is bigger than Watergate.

(3,894 posts)Won't go there with you. Not one to demonize a woman for indiscretions whose responsibility was both hers and Edwards.
Orly Taitz otoh . . . . no doubt deserves being diss'd
Control-Z
(15,682 posts)She fit the description. Her "indiscretions" put her at the top of the list. Her hair is bleached blond. She is a bimbo.
Definition of bim·bo
slang : tramp
an attractive but stupid young woman, especially one with loose morals.
slang :used as a generalized term of disapproval especially for an attractive but vacuous person
For someone who seems to approve of her behavior you are the one who is actually "dissing" her. I just made an observation.
So there you have it. Orley just happens to look like Reille, imo. I know nothing about Orley's sexual behaviors so she didn't come to mind until you posted it.
Lionessa
(3,894 posts)and though I know many are furious with her, I find no reason to call her a bimbo. I do not find her stupid, I do not care about sexual morals to judge her thusly either.
I see your point, just don't agree with you lumping her with the likes of Orly Taitz and Monica Crowley and Ann Coulter as are displayed in this thread.

(11 posts)And why would you use a misogynistic term simply because she is comparing it to Watergate? I mean, I first thought of Iran-Contra, but it's all good...

(1,928 posts)Are they accurate? Well, she is blond. But is it bleached? If she's a natural blond does accusing her of bleaching an unfair insult?
Bimbo. Well, that implied promiscuity. Do you know of her sexual dalliances? I don't find this misogynistic but perhaps slanderous. Maybe her good name--that is as one who practices sexual restraint--is important to her. So calling her a bimbo does damage to her reputation. But I'm not so sure "bimbo" is misogynistic unless we can all agree that sexual promiscuity is a bad thing. If we can't then we have to admit any insult hurled at another person is in fact some sort of hate. If you called her a bleached blond pent-up prude would this constitute misogyny? Perhaps, but only to individuals who find this insulting.
Perhaps the larger point is that any attempt to shame someone based on gender, race, sexuality constitutes some sort of bigotry not because of WHAT is said but the intent in which it is said--to shame and/or humiliate the person.

The person's looks are not fair game, unless they have some bearing on the discussion.
An ill-informed, loud-mouthed moron she may be, but that has nothing to do with how she looks.
